CAITLIN VIAR

Caitlin Viar is an award-winning illustrator and art director with 12+ years of professional experience across publishing, advertising, branding, entertainment, fashion, and commercial creative.

With a background in advertising agencies and creative leadership, Caitlin approaches illustration with an art director's brain—concept first, execution second. Her work spans character-driven storytelling, conceptual humor, publishing, and commercial illustration, with the ability to adapt her visual approach to the idea, audience, and world of each project.

For the past five years, Caitlin has expanded extensively into book illustration. Most recently, she completed a year-long book project for an internationally known comedian consisting of 350 original illustrations developed from concept and sketch through final artwork. The project has been submitted to HarperCollins for publication.

Her broader creative career includes work for nationally recognized brands and organizations, along with work recognized by Graphis and AIGA.

Caitlin works independently through Caviar Illustration and is currently seeking illustration representation for select publishing and commercial opportunities.
